Chargers of the past
Back of Dead Ponies
terra Cotta

Working in ceramic implicates the artist to history inherent to the materials lasting potential and generally to a functional narrative pertaining to vessels and containers. On that trajectory I utilized the format of the Charger (platter) to both serve and contain visual data. The metaphor of vessel and container sooths my desire to organize the past while the secondary functional attributes of the form permit the possibility of use, however ironic.

Dead Ponies is a composite of the past and present.
